On September 4, 2022, NIMJN organized a session about experience sharing from two OCCRP Alfred Friendly Fellows, Nitu Ghale and Tanka Dhakal. They shared their Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism (WCIJ) fellowship experience with their colleagues.
Nitu Ghale talked about the importance of providing readers with contact information of the relevant authorities for when they want to voice their opinions on their subjects or issues.
Tanka Dhakal talked about how we must truly convey our personal or professional statement and be extremely clear about our topic matter while applying for the international fellowship. He also mentioned about the importance of mentorship in Nepal and the importance of resources for story production.
This program had 26 participants and was held in person.
